Q.What is an Attic Truss, and how is it different from a Standard Storage Truss?

A. A standard storage truss will allow an limited amount of space above the ceiling for misc storage for smaller items. An attic truss provides much more space, and depending on the roof slope or “pitch” of the structure, can even accommodate a full size bonus room above the structure.

Q.What is Roof Pitch?

A. A roof’s “pitch” is the number of inches it rises for every 12 inches of horizontal run. A roof with a “4-12 pitch” rises 4 inches for every 12 inches of horizontal run.

Q.What are the differences between HardiePlank siding and vinyl siding?

A.Hardie plank (Fiber cement) siding is a much heavier siding than most vinyl sidings and slightly more expensive. HardiePlank siding can be repainted while vinyl siding cannot. For this reason, while Hardie plank is a heavier siding, it may require more maintenance over its lifespan than vinyl siding. The difference in durability between Hardie Plank and quality vinyls siding is usually negligible
